On WIBW 7:00 pm, and on 38 in KCMO IIRC. For those who can't watch it, i'm recording it, and i'll try to post some highlights.

No it wasn't. It was Kansas State Teachers College. College of Emporia was a small college there in Emporia. Two separate schools. I'll take KU and give you 5 points. Okay, 25 points.

They must have merged, or something. Both of my parents went to ESU, and they told me that when they went there it was KSTC, but now ESU.

As a Washburn student, i'm contractually obligated to dislike ESU. I wouldn't take the 25 points, either.

No merger I ever heard about. C of E just went under. How about 35 points?

Ah..then my statement was true then, right? KSTC changed to Emporia State?

35 points might be more realistic. ESU is a middle of the pack MIAA team. Washburn should be a closer game, but not by much.

Aaah, finally I can direct my attention to a worthwhile team.

Suddenly I feel so much less... weight.

KSTC is correct. I'm pretty sure Pitt State had the same name. KU plays these games as a favor to ESU and others. ESU is guaranteed $20,000 for this game. They got $7500 and hotel rooms from Gonzaga and $10,000 from Wichita State.

Actually, if you want to go back further, ESU used to be called Kansas State Normal.

Some beads, a few trinkets, 60 Guilders...

When that doesn't work we usually just give them a "W"
