separate GM & Coach or a Coach/GM?

Case in point Larry Johnson, if DV had been the GM we wouldn't have drafted him. I can see both sides as far as benefits either way, but it would seem to me that a Coach is more likely to get the players he wants if he is also the GM.

Seperate.

And while we're at it, I'd like a seperate GM/President/CEO as well.

I should have added that if DV were the GM also, had he drafted LJ, he'd have been, IMO, a lot more likely to have dealt better with him for the sake of trade value alone.

For him as a coach to not see the value of what trading him could do for his team is upsetting to me. He may not have been able to get the defensive player he wanted that year, but he could have done something to make him look more trade worthy.

having a seperate GM/CEO is the more relevant question

conflicting interests

CEO - primary job is to make money

GM - primary job is to win games

Head Coach - primary job is to win games

which of these three doesn't fit?
