NFBT: “Series 7: The Contenders”

This is a “mockumentary” about a game show called “Contenders.” [5] ordinary citizens are chosen at random, armed and told to kill each other. The show follows each Contender with a hand-held camera while they stalk each other.

Pretty sharp satire on the whole reality TV genre, as well as the whole Gubmint “bread and circuses” bit. Dark and occasionally flat, but well worth a watch.

It will repeat on IFC on November 19th & 20th.

I saw it a couple years ago, and agree with Gaz.
Prolly not the best movie you'll see all year, but definitely worth a watch.

Still, I can't help wondering what happened to Series 1 thru 6.

I caught part of it the other night on IFC.....it was pretty interesting.....nice sendup of the whole reality show craze.
