EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Eli Manning will replace Kurt Warner as the Giants' starting quarterback Sunday when New York plays host to Michael Vick and the Atlanta Falcons.
New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin announced the change at his weekly news conference Monday.
The Giants are sinking in the NFC East, mostly by the weight of their own mistakes. Their 17-14 loss at Arizona on Sunday was the Giants' third loss in their last four games following a surprising 5-1 start. Warner was sacked six times and New York had 10 penalties for 97 yards.
Warner has been sacked 13 times in the last two games.
