The driver apparently was talking to the players and coaches, and when the driver of the bus asked them if the NE players felt confident about the game against the Chiefs, a few of them said they were in fact worried.

The driver thinking they were talking about the Chiefs explosive offense could understand, but then the NE players said they were actually worried about the Chiefs defense, and that's when the driver started laughing hysterically- thus driving the bus off the road in a fit of uncontrollable laughter.
