Yeah he still sucks, but for most of the night he was in the backfield. I also think they were some blatent holding going on.

Sims played OK. He has played OK in most games this year. He's not worth the pick we used on him but I think he can be an OK player for many years and would greatly benefit by having a stud LDE next to him instead of waste-o-skin Eric Hicks.

So so.... he better get a fire lit in his ass or next year could be gone.

He needs a complimentary player. Somebody he can play off of.

What DT in that draft has been anything???? Henderson, Sims, Haynesworth, or Bryant?

he was in the backfield often, from what i saw there were a few tackdowns by andruzi or sims would have either had a sack or tackled dillon

Overpaid. Underachiever. When's the last time he had a sack? When's the last time he spearheaded a big stop on 3rd down. He's the highest draft pick currently playing for the Chiefs. Jared Allen's had more big plays this year.

Sims will look a lot better if/ when he ever plays with some NFL caliber DEs.

we have too many holes to fix...

really bad holes...

i don't think we can afford to replace players who are at least serviceable when we have so many to replace that are worse than that...

FYI: Pats averaged only 3.1 yards per rush tonight for a total of 98.

That's pretty sad for a 1st round pick(6th overall) don't ya think. He still sucks a**. A lot of people didn't say that about Sapp did they?

Yeah he was in the backfield. So what? He was too late, and slow to get to the ball carrier and blow plays up. You people can say all you want about Sims. But, he sucks a** that's the bottomline.

McFarland? Not when he first broke in the league. Booker, I think you meant Brooks. LB different position. Sapp was an impact when he broke into the league from day one without Simeon Rice. When Rice came, that was a defensive line became even more fierce. Regardless, Sapp was great from day one.

Sims is a certified bust.

He hasn't made a play all year.

Sims is a good player the problem is he doesn't have a LBs that will plug up the holes when he has 2 or 3 blockers on him.

I have to defend Sims here. First of all, D-Tackle isn't really a "sack position", mostly they are to stop the run. The Chiefs have done better against the run. And most of the big runs they have allowed have been to the outside where the DE and LB haven't made the play. I can't think of very many big runs that have went up the middle. I think the D-line (Hicks, Sims, Dalton, Allen) have been the lone bright spot on the defense this year. Holliday is a turd though.

I've must've watched a different MNF. I remember Sims making one play. Past that I didn't hear his name all night except for him being offsides.

Someone please tell me how you can line up 1yrd off the football and be offsides. Please splain it to me.

Jared Allen lined up way offsides once too, though they didn't call it. (Surpisinlgly...) How can ANYONE line up offsides? Can't they see the damn ball???

Sims did a good job for being double and tripled teamed last night the LBs didn't do anything last night

I'm almost disturbed by Ryan Sims because we drafted him to be a star and all he's gunna ever be is just a average to good player. :cuss: :cuss: :cuss:

And you're surprised by this because we have such a great history with the draft...?

I agree. Plus the point somebody else mentioned, i.e. no quality DE play next to him.
