At around 23:30 on Monday, November 22, 2004, the Chiefs' 2004 playoff hopes died.

The hopes lived a relatively good life. Brought into this world in early February by the hopes' parents: Greg Robinson's resignation and the promise of another solid offense, they grew stronger immediately with the hire of Gunther Cunningham. They attended Draft Hype University became employed by the members of internet message board, Chiefsplanet. The hopes are known for creating programs such as "Adopt-a-Chief", as well as revolutionizing smack in the ways of Donkey and Faider fans. The hopes prospered with Chiefsplanet until they retired after the Tampa Bay loss.

Dr. Vlad Logicslav diagnosed the hopes with a life-threatening illness after Week 2. The hopes decided to do all it could to fight the illness. After showing resilience with huge wins versus Atlanta and Indianapolis, the illness took over. It only became a matter of time before the Chiefs' 2004 playoff hopes faded to death.

The 2004 playoff hopes are survived by its son- Free Agency hopes and daughter-in-law, Draft hopes, who are expecting a child in early January. The couple has decided to name that child Chiefs' 2005 Playoff Hopes in honor of the passing of their loved one. The food after the funeral is provided by Free Agency hopes' cousin, Coaching Change hopes.
