Or do you know someone from there?

I am looking for an old Israelli song That's called either "Barcelona" or "Oh, Barcelona." I used to have it on 45 as a child. Loved it. I still hum what little I can of it every once in a while. It just came back to my head a few minutes ago. Hence, this request. :)

My wife spent a semester there in college. An Arab man in Jerusalem offered her father "100 camels" for her (blonde and blue-eyed, big boobed 20 year old at the time.)

Does that count???

If I may piggy-back on a request for eclectic music. I was listening NPR's All Things Considered when they played s 25th anniversary edition of an album from an artist whose name I couldn't begin to remember. I do remember that the album was controversial in Isreal, and was Sephardic and Moroccan. It was the folk music of the sephardic shepherds. The music sounded like an even more emotional version of the music in Gladiator.
I've looked up the genre, but didn't see anything that looked like what I heard, nor sound like.
Has anyone heard this particular show, or know anything about what I'm talking about?

I hope she's old enough to remember. If not, her parents may. I had this 45 in the late 60s. Thaaaanks cheeeefs.

I'm not from Israel and I've never been there. But, I almost went once. Our trip was cancelled the morning we were due to leave because the USNavy had accidentally shot up a Turkish navy vessel during a joint exercise.

I know that doesn't help with your request, but I simply HAD to share this information.

Just out of curiosity, what outcome are you expecting from this post?

La Oveja Negra is the BEST bar in Barcelona! And probably the best SANGRIA in the world. (although I haven't finished my quest to sample ever bar in the world's sangria... yet)

Apparently clown-phobia also comes with a good dose of stupid... Which begs the question which leads to which...

I don't get it! You quoted the answer to your very question!

Let's say my answer was "yes, I have a good friend in Isreal right now" what would the next step be?

Would you want him to mail you a new 45? Clarify whether its "Barcilona" or "Oh, Barcilona"? Sing the song to you over the phone?

Maybe I'm a little thick on this one, wouldn't be the first time.

Oh, I see. I want to know if it's available. On CD? On tape? Online for download? If all fails I want to know if someone could burn it on a CD for me.

I don't know of anyone, but if anyone knows an Israeli who teaches Krav Maga, I would love to take a couple of years of training.

Try moving to Orlando, FL. I was there recently and watched a friend go to a class at Waterford Lakes Mall. Got the crap beat out of himself while learning the system.

Frankie, I'm from New Isreal. Does that help?

I would never live in the great state of Floridiots ever again.

Three years torture was sufficient.

It is such a cool form of defense, I just wish it were more popular.
