He ran with POWER too..broke tackles all over the place. He didn't run with hestitation either.

Can anyone comment on his pass protection? I listened to the game on the radio , did not get a chance to watch it on TV.

Just out of curiousity, how were you able to discern LJ's ability to run with power and without hesitiation from the radio, but you were unable to discern his blocking?

I listened on the radio and had no idea about any of them.

I talked with someone this afternoon who still lives in KC and watched the game. he told me LJs blocking was still not adequate. What do you think Psi?

I'm not Psi, but his blocking definitely needs improvement...

Good thing he wasn't drafted to be a fullback.

Neither was Gonzales, but he needed to round out his game...

shaneo69,

In the Chiefs offense the featureback has to block, which is what makes Priest and Blaylock so valuable. They both block very well.

what? Why is blocking by the RB such a big thing in the chiefs offense as opposed to any other team? I'm not arguing or trying to prove a point, I honestly don't know.

If he can't block, that is one more guy that the defense has free to send at the QB on a passing play.

If LJ can't ever learn to block, defenses will pick that up pretty quick. San Diego did. They knew when LJ was in, it was a run. When Blaylock was in, it was a pass.

Because we more often than other offenses use the single back sets for downs where we pass but show the potential for runs.
