View Full Version : Keeping the good karma going.

The Chiefs won, and we all need to honor that by engaging in ignorant superstitious rituals to "keep the good luck flowing."

Personally, I pledge to do the following to help nurture our tiny, fragile, one-game winning streak and let it grow.

My oath:

As long as the Chiefs are winning, I will use a kleenex instead of picking my nose.

Does anyone else wish to show their support?

I kid you not. I'm drinking a Dr. Pepper right now. It's like a fine wine, except better.

I will go back to drinking my coffee from my Chiefs mug, wearing my Chiefs clothing in Pantherland, drinking from only my Chiefs mug and sleeping on the right side of the bed. All this to ensure a 2 game winning streak, WOO HOO!

Do you ever put peanuts in your Dr. Pepper? I never heard of such a thing, but when I lived in Texas I saw it several times. But it was always in the old-school 16 oz bottles so maybe it's a fad that's died out now. Either that or maybe they just put a boatload of nuts in a 2 liter.

I've never seen it, but some of my Southern co-workers tell tales of it.

This past weekend was the first gameday that my wife didn't cook some fat-filled snacks (e.g. buffalo wings, cheese sticks, jalapeno poppers, etc.) for me to munch on while watching the game. I guess I can give those up for the team.

Or everyone that practiced that habit died of peanut induced asphyxiation.

That's a pretty risky way to eat peanuts.
