Which company is gonna be the breadwinner? Right now both stocks are around 16$, but each made 100's of millions of dollars profit. Companies with far less profit are far more valuable.

Im thinking one of these is ripe for the long haul. Which one you think? My three year old thinks Nokia.

[mods this was supposed to be a poll with 2 choices. Nokia and Motorola. Could you please fix it? Thanks.]

FWIW, Motorola has been around forever. Nokia, not so much.

What would Warren Buffett do?
He'd buy both of them just to be sure he got the right one.

motorola does look poised to dominate... with China 3g networks and all the wireless sim cards and cell phones, and many many products they produce... at 16$... a good bargain for the haul, Id say.

I've got Nokia stock. It's been rather doggish for me, but if they'll get off their Finnish butts and start making phones that have some style, maybe the stock will do well. If they keep jogging out the same old 1998-style phones, they'll go the way of the dinosaur.
