I take it NE is your D vs. Mia on all of these? That will be good...however NE isn't really playing for anything except maybe home field advantage over Pittsburgh throughout the Playoffs. Hence the problem with our fantasy teams being in the Playoffs this time of year- having guys on teams that may be playing "meaningless" games, and in some cases- may be getting more rest than actual playing time.

Despite Ward's efforts fantasy-wise, I honestly think this line-up gives you the best potential for scoring big numbers. Gates should have a field day vs. Cle, Clayton will have a field day vs. NO's defense, Muhammad should do fine vs. Atl and Harrison is playing at home-even if it is Balt's D- Indy is still a potent offense, and Harrison is probably good for at least some decent numbers, if not a TD. Westbrook has been on fire recently and Dallas has been either great on D or simply bad...Volek is the only concern here, particularly with the injuries on Tennessee's side of the ball. But, he IS going up against a sour Oakland D....he could very well put up the same kind of numbers as he did vs. KC.

Anyways, that's by two-cents....good luck.

Thanks....my only concern is that Plaxico is out and Ward will be double teamed all night...and yes NE is my only D

Thanks....my only concern is that Plaxico is out and Ward will be double teamed all night...and yes NE is my only D

And that may be the case...however, you have to look at your team in the MOST players who have the best opportunities to score- not how ALL of them will score. As you mentioned- Ward is most likely to be double-teamed, but hey so is Gonzalez, and he still manages to score. You can add in Owens and a handful of others as well...Ward is still a legitimate WR- who, in this case, may be due for a break out week. But, the REST of your team looks to be strong which can compensate for the lost production in Ward- if it so happens.

In other words, take for instance- Harrison. We all know Harrison is a must-start any given Sunday. However, Harrison is going against a tough Defense and will most likely get McAlister AND Reed throughout the day. The WR likely to have a big day, if any, for Indy may be Stokely- 'cause whomever takes Harrison, the other will take Reggie Wayne. And Balt will likely try to create man-to-man coverages on both Harrison and Wayne.

On the flip side- look at Clayton. He's going up against a very poor NO defense and has great potential to score big. (I so badly wanted the Chiefs to draft him, but that's another story...) This is your compensation. As is Gates, as is Muhammad, as is Westbrook...

Actually, now that I think about it- Team B doesn't really look as good as originally thought...but, the point of all this is how you determine your line-up- by looking at the different variables that may give you the best opportunity.

Now, I've got to go look at my teams, dammit...:)

Here's what I think you should do:

QB- Griese
RB- McAlister
RB- Westbrook
WR- Harrison
WR- Muhammad
WR- Clayton
TE- Gates
WR/RB- A. Johnson
NE D
K- Longwell

Just my thoughts....

Thanks yea I wasn't sure who to go with at QB I know Brooks is going to get smotherd by the TB Defense....you don't think E Smith would be a good start?

I don't care much for the options with Brooks vs Tampa. I think Volek and Griese have great potential against very poor defenses. I'm not a fan of Hines Ward ... but the Giants have bad poor QBs look really good, so if you look at it that way ... damn, Ward has to do something this week. Then again, I thought he should have done something worth a damn the last few weeks, but he's been nothing spectacular.

I think I like C or E the best, with the F - the Griese/Clayton combo a quick 3rd.

E Smith could do well, but I don't know that I like him better than your other options.

I'd say:

Griese
Duece
Westbrook
Harrison
Muhammed
Clayton
And a tossup on the flex between Ward and AJohnson

I'd probably go with Ward, but I'm partial to him as he's on one of my teams

I have a similar QB decision. I've been starting Brooks, but Griese and Volek are free agents. I think I'm going to pick up one of them and start them this weekend. I'll probably go Griese against that porous NO Def.

Ward is a great WR, and usually a fantasy stud, but Rublessrubber doesn't air it out. They just don't throw much.

I'd go a different direction...
