My dad said he is trying to reinstall windows xp but he can't find the book with the 24 diget code or whatever. Is there anyway you can anything on your computer to find that 24 digit code?

Well, good grammar would help your post.

But no, pretty sure that's not recorded on your computer. There are plenty of no-actvation cracks for Windows XP out there, though.

Yeah, believe it or not, there is an app out there that can find the activation key of Win98 or XP...I used to have it at one time, but I can't recall the name of it. If you do a google search you will probably be able to find it without too much trouble (it was a free download)...

if windows xp is still installed and workable there is a program that will show you your current registration number.

here's program (zip file)

it's a single click working program that shows you your number.

BelArc Advisor (http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html) is a better tool. It will also tell you your Office ID.
