Torrent is just a system that makes the file (whatever it may be, audio or video or application) available for download between other people who have the file. It is like a mini gateway.

Thanks
You will get my bill in the mail for the technical assistance. Be sure to pay me in change so I can underestimate how much it is and make another "Coin Star Machine Glory" thread.

So paying you in nickel rolls will really confuse you.

Michael Moore said "Steal this movie!" so I said "O.K." and downloaded it by bit-torrent. I ended with piles-o'-files with names like "dvp-farenheight911.cd1.roo" The windows movie player don't wanna play 'em. What program do you use to play files like "blah-blah.cd1.roo"??

Those are .rar file archives. Use Winrar to unzip the files, which should then create an .avi or depending on what you're downloading, a .cue & a .bin file.

If it's a .bin file after extraction, you can use a program called VCDGear to convert it to .mpeg to watch.
