Horrible. I hope that Ferguson is ok. They should eject Darius and suspend him the rest of the season.

Darius should be suspended for the rest of the season for that hit. He should have been ejected from the game. Totally unnecessary hit.

Ferguson damn near had his head ripped off! Was that Donovan Darius? He's lucky he didn't get kicked out of the game.

Did you see the parts of helmet scattering all over the field?

It's pretty hard to believe that crap used to be legal, and people didn't get killed. I guess it's a good thing guys were not as big and fast back then.

I suprised these two anouncers don't run down on the field and start making love to Favre right now. They've been stroking him all game.

That was a routine hit .... 25 years ago.

Still, I don't think darius meant to catch him under the chin.

Wicked hit? Yes.

Intentional to cause harm? No.

I thought this exactly when I first saw it, but when you see the replay from behind you can see Darius winding up to really put some extra mustard on the hit. He was definitely head-hunting and he was definitely trying to do more than just clothesline the guy IMO.

Guys are going at full speed out there. Sometimes hard to define intent. (Unless your in Palm Beach Co.,Fla)

William...did you actually SEE that hit? I'm not necessarily saying that Darious wound up to hit Ferguson, but I am saying that a hit like that is not a fluke. It was blatant and he deserves to be fined if not suspended.

I put Darius in the elite headhunters in the league, him, Rodney Harrison, and John Lynch are right at the top of the list. But, when I look at that video I keep telling myself that it MUST have been an accident, I just can't believe someone would take that cheap of a shot. (at least someone not on the Broncos offensive line...)

That's what I'm sayin' the video it sure looks intentional, but I just can't believe a guy would take that cheap of a shot. (seriously, except a broncos offensive lineman. After seeing them jump on the back of Brian Cox's legs, I wouldn't put anything past those cheap bastards).

What makes me sick is how they were sucking Favre off for his ALMOST comeback, when if it were'nt for his stupid int's. and 4 trips to the red zone with nothing to show for it, he would'nt have needed to try for a comeback in the first place.

Yep. Watched it live. It was a vicious hit. You're right, he'll be fined and possibly suspended.

I just don't think he intended to catch him under the facemask with that hit. However I do agree he intended to hammer him with that forearm shiver.

It was two percent of his gross salary, according to the Denver Post.

It won't put him in the poorhouse, but I know it would hurt me to be fined two percent of my gross salary.

I wonder if it's tax-deductible?
