No. Never was. He's "playing". Hasn't done jack yet. He was the over receiver on Gonzo's underneath TD on Sunday. It's sure a good thing we kept that roster spot open for him all year because I don't know what we would have done with a defensive player on our roster.

If you're on IR you are there until the season ends.

Unless you reach an injury settlement with your team and you're released.... Then a new team can sign and activate you.

I didn't realize this until we cut that Williams DB a couple years ago. He was on IR, but the Cowboys picked him up and played him for a while.

Umm, Phil you are thinking of Pat Dennis not Robert Williams.

Yeah - you're right. They were brothers. We traded Williams to the Niners for a conditional pick. They cut him shortly thereafter.

You mean that inactive spot that doesn't get to play every week? Not so sure that would have helped much.

Wilson was in on one of the short touchdown receptions. He didn't get the ball, obviously, but probably served as distraction. Of course that does not justify his roster spot for an entire season. I am eager to see him play but what a waste of a roster spot.

He's actually looked pretty decent in limited time. He played well last season. He'll never be a star but I'm not yelling for us to cut him either.

We couldn't find any defensive players that had as much "profile" as he did.

i kept wilson #40 in my franchise in madden. doesn't get many catches though, with larry fitzgerald and tony g getting most of the balls.
