The New Jersey Star-Ledger reports New York Jets (http://www.kffl.com/team/27/nfl) offensive coordinator Paul Hackett (http://www.kffl.com/player/8307/nfl) is unlikely to return next season regardless if the team makes the playoffs or not. Head coach Herman Edwards (http://www.kffl.com/player/1976/nfl) is believed to be livid at the offense's inability to score points and he's apparently ready to part ways with Hackett, whom he has known since the mid-1970s when Edwards was a player at San Diego State and Hackett was an assistant coach at the school.
