I just called my mother at 4 AM to tell her I was comming by to pick up that 12 pack no one drank at her party (that ended in argument and hostility...)

She said sure. When her new boyfriend asked "WTF is calling at 4 am" she said "Rausch. He wants the 12 pack in the fridge."

At this point he simply said "oh. Ok."

Wow. That's either empathy or apathy, and at this point either will do...
