I don't know if anyone watched Georgia v. Wisconsin today, but Pollack put on a pass rush demonstration. Physically he's not going to impress you, but he reminded of DT on some plays. He gets off the line so quickly. He's the guy I hope the Chiefs take in the 1st.

I'd take him as well, but unless he has a terrible combine showing, he'll be out of our reach unless we trade up.

Wont happen. Does CP ever draft who the planeteers wish for?

I like him for where we are drafting too. Plus, Lamar can save some money because the Chiefs are bound to already have Marcus Spears Jerseys.

The reason I don't think we'll take a DE early is because DV liks Hicks.

Titus did, well a little TIC. Pretty funny when his name was called though.

Marcus Spears, Erasmus James, or Ahmad Brooks. One of these defenders should be there when we pick.

from where we will probably pick, i'd say ahmad brooks, marlin jackson, carlos rogers, or corey webster.

Ahmad Brooks is staying, unfortunately. Or so I read, though I can't find a definitive answer from any article so far.

I don't think he's that good. Remember, college is much slower than the pros, and I think he'll get manhandled by OTs in the pros. I don't think he has the speed that DT possessed, from watching that bowl game he looks like he's taking advantage of a slow OL off the ball; something that won't be happening in the pros.

pollack is a little smallish

6'3" 263lbs

he's smaller than Jared allen

beware the "high motor, high effort" guys, you never know when they are going to run outa gas.

[/edit] im not even sure he's big enough to play a normal end position. he may have to be a DE/LB in a 3-4 defense.

Can he play MLB? :hmmm: Pretty good size for that.

They said the same about the defensive end for indianapolis.

Can Pollack run a 4.3 forty like Freeney does?

You want to look at skills and BURST off the line. Also power.

ya... but he still has to hold up against the run while facing 350lb offensive tackles.

i bet a team takes him and turns him into a DE/LB like baltimore did with terrell suggs.

that why they can move him around and prevent teams for picking on him with the power running game.

im not saying he isn't any good ... but size is an issue.

Eww.

Anyway, Pollack would probably be a LB in the NFL. He's quick and kind of undersized to be anything but a pass rush specialist on the line.

No need for me to say anything.
