well, the end is nigh (neigh? niye?) but the potential exists for lots of spoilers today

as usual, feel free to post rants/updates/ridicule here

who are you watching? I've got Rams/Jets...I like Edwards and hate Martz, but after listening to Pennington cry like baby about the media I have a perverse desire to see the Jets lose...I'd also like to see Minnesota and Denver lose as well, though it seems unlikely

I'm watching the Rams/Jets game as well and yup, after listening to crybaby Chad, I too will root for the Rams, and I will also be rooting for the Colts, even though it makes me feel dirty.

Redskins have a pretty stout D. This won't be a cakewalk for the Vikings.

the Talking Can

huge play....Vikings have 3rd and 1 on Redskins goal line....and Randy Moss gets called for off sides...Vikes settle for field goal

Washington is playing without Smoot and Arrington today.

Bob Dole

Watching Pittsburgh at Buffalo.

Steelers just choked from 1st and goal for the second time today and are settling for a FG attempt to make it 13-7.

the Talking Can

I'd like to see Buffalo make the playoffs, not sure why exactly...but better than the Doncos or Jets.

Washington scores before the half...up 14-3....luv it!

Jets back up 10-7.

the Vikings game is much more compelling....the smell of death is strong with them, yes

I don't know how St. Louis got the ball back, but they're up 14-10 now.

I highly recommend watching the 2nd half of the Vikes/Skins....Minnesota is a team about ready to implode.

Well, at halftime it looks like the NFC participants will be the Rams and Vikings (even though they are losing). If the Vikings end up winning and the Saints hang onto their lead then it will be the Vikings and Saints in the playoffs. If the Panthers can come back and beat the Saints then it will be the Rams and the Panthers.

Looks like the Chiefs would have made the playoffs if not for that one INT returned for a TD against the Texans if Buffalo continues to lose and the Broncos end up losing (and the Chiefs beat the Charger scrubs this afternoon).

The Chiefs were a lot closer to making it into the post-season then I think they realized. Beat the Texans, hold the lead against the Chargers or Jaguars or Bucs and KC could have been 12-4.

I think we could have won the division if we could only have had the 25th or 26th ranked defense.
