I saw on TV that Jacksonville is not going to tag him again this year. I wonder what the hit would be to cut Woods and bring in Darious?

This is the first time I've seen "hit" and "Woods" used in the same sentence since 1998.

Oh brother i'm all for bringing him in man. Donovan Darius is f*cking awesome.

He's a strong safety.

We'd have to do something with Wesley.

Woods' base salary is "only" around 800,000 next year. I don't think he would be cut because he's relatively cheap. I think the cost to cut him would be very close to his base, if not more.

That being said, keep Woods and sign Darius. Darius is much better.

What would we do with Wesley? Darius doesn't play FS...

I hear he can really change the pace of a game.

darn right. Ferocious hitter. Our linebackers can't even hit like Donovan.

Put him at FS

That's on thing I suggested about a week ago when discussing drafting a FS...

I'm just not sure that Wesley has what it takes to be a FS. Of course, after this last season, he didn't look so hot at SS either.

despite the fact, who cares really. We have a ton of options at FS. harts, battle, bartee. Maybe Wesley can bulk up and play LB?

Wesley is a servicable player. That's it. Nothing special. anyone by the name of donovan darius is a welcomed addition to a defense. HUGE upgrade over Wesley. I'd take him with open arms.

I think he would be a huge addition to the Defense, it think he would help all of our DBs and bring a great attito team.

we just gave Woods a new contract ... if we cut him we prolly will have to go with Willie Pile or Shaunard Harts just from a financial stand point.

Harts is a better SS. Battle and Bartee? Are you kidding, or do you enjoy losing seasons?

Part of the reason this team sucks is because of attitudes like this.

too bad he doesn't fit the Vermeil Profile

Bartee is the only guy on our Secondary that can lay some decent wood. It would probably be gamble, experiment.

I don't think we're really in a position of gambling or experimenting. We need to freaking win.

I'm all for bringing in Donovin Darius at SS as long as it doesn't prevent us from addressing the VERY REAL NEEDS we have at CB, FS, and OLB.

Yeah - I'd really like Titus to put the Vermeil Profile down on paper. That would be interesting.

He does? From the looks of the picture he doesn't have a beard...does he rip his sleeves off?
