Kansas City Chiefs defensive back William Bartee was charged with perjury today in district court while giving testimony for the prosecution in a robbery trial.

Bartee said he was held up at gunpoint while making a transaction at an ATM in Independence. He testified that a white male in his early twenties approached him from behind and demanded that he look straght ahead and no one would get hurt. At this point the suspect grabbed Bartee's cash and fled to a nearby car and sped away. Bartee claimed that he turned his head just in time to see the license plate of the suspect's car just before it turned around a corner.

At this point the Hon. Judge Joseph Hargrove pounded his gavel and had Bartee handcuffed and led away to the court's holding cell. Being a season ticket holder of the Kansas City Chiefs, the Judge reasoned that Bartee was indeed lying. As over several seasons of watching Bartee, he had never once seen Bartee once turn his head quickly for anything.

From another Chiefs BB. Thought it was funny and decided to share. A long way to go for the punch line so don't sue me.

It may be funny to some, but after all of the shit the fans have been through with that defense..it's not very funny. I wish KC was playing this weekend at Arrowhead.
