I think you can still look at someone's profile and search for their posts, if that helps.

There was an announcement about this a while back. Do a search on 'gullible'.

I went to another BBS and they had restricted users to one search every minute. Another allows fast, slow, and slowest searches, determined by how far back in time you wish to go. Would something like that help, or is it just the nature of codifying the DB for searchability that causes the hit?
