Tony doesn't have a super defensive team and he doesn't have the offensive mind to take advantage of Peyton . The team looked enemic offensively. What a soft team.

Tony Dungy doesn't meddle in the offense, by all accounts. He pretty much leaves the O in the hands of Tom Moore.
But you're right, they are soft, so when they come up against a physical team like the Pats, they crumble.

They definitely lack a big tough WR .

Something the Chiefs lack too. Borichter is a nice compliment to our small wr lineup.

No, they lack a Power running game. Edge is soft and they dont compliment their passing attack with a run game well at all. Maybe they do in the regular season, but NOT in the playoffs.

I will go one better and say their offensive line is way too soft also.

If their run game is too sogt, this is the reason here, not James.
James is strong enough to run with power, but the O-Line is more finesse type guys than maulers.

He may be strong enough but hes soft. Maybe something happened to him after the injury?? To me when he runs he looks like hes always falling forward instead of running strong and when he is on the sidelines he walks out of bounds and looks to avoid the hit......Their team is good, just not well equiped to win in cold weather in January.

Alot of it is their team mentality as well. They pay the big money to Manning so they build their game plans around his arm and abondon the run game like they did today. IMO they should have been pounding the ball more on the ground, it was a close game most of the time.

Im not really sold on James. He is a capable runner but he seems to be too timid for his size. Since he has come back from injury he tends to try and be more of a finess runner and avoid contact. While he is puting up nice stats he doesnt seem anywhere then RB he was earlier in his career.

You may have a point DB.
The fact is that whole team is soft.

my gut feeling is that manning being from new orleans and playing in a dome mos of the time on turf is he cannot win the big cold one.

They're offensive line reminds me of the Dolphins in the 90's.
