Take a moment to learn something about a great American we dont recognize with a natty holiday. Benjamin Franklin cast the mold for the civic structure and virtuous idealism we cherish as Americans. I would wager that if he were born 10-20 years later, he would have been our 1st President.
Yesterday, January 17th, was his birthday.

Ben Franklin was the bomb diggity, yo.
Not too mention, he had some pretty cool glasses in 'National Treasure'
We do something similar to what we did with President's Day and we should change Columbus Day to be "Forefather's Day" or something like that.
There are a lot of guys that deserve recognition that don't get it with thdeir own national holiday.
