I haven't found a Packer fan that can answer this question for me yet.

I believe the Chiefs have the Packers' 5th, 6th and 7th round pick.

5th and 6th traded before this season began for R-Kal Truluck

Quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Defensive end Jared Allen, a supplemental fourth-round pick out of Division I-AA Idaho State, beat out veteran R-Kal Truluck, who was traded Sunday to Green Bay for a fifth-round and a sixth-round draft pick. Allen may also be the long snapper on punts.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7th traded before the 2003 season for a DB, last name Ross I believe.

Does anyone else remember this like I do or have better info?

We definitely have the 5th and 6th for Truluck... and we did make that trade for a conditional 7th but I don't remember when that kicks in, it might very well be this year...

Yeah, but I think we lost our 7th in the trade for Steve Cheek.

Yep that is correct:

These are it I think, dont hold me to this...

1 First Round
1 Second Round
2 Third Round (+1 from Tait)
0 Fourth Round (-1 Welbourne)
3 Fifth Round (+1 Packers : +1 Lions)
2 Sixth Round (+1 Packers)
1 Seventh Round (+1 Packers : -1 Houston)

The bad news about haveing several picks in the 5th, 6th and seventh rounds is that you hope our scouts can find some jexels in the rough in those rounds. Unfortunately, i don't have that much confidence in the chiefs scouting talent.

Our scouts have always been pretty good at picking out later round guys...

I was thinking the same thing. Seems like most of the solid picks made over the last few years have come during the second day of the draft.

Its just the first three rounds they suck at.

No kidding! Lets trade the 1st and 2nd round picks for a bunch of 4th and 5th rounders. They couldn't pick a great 1st rounder with Jimmy Johnsons help!!

We need to trade two 5th or a 5th and 6th for a fourth round pick. If he is still there I would love to see the chiefs draft Lefauers? how ever the hell you spell his name. The QB out of Louisville.

Derek Ross CB was selecting by Dallas with our 3rd round pick in 2002 as a part of the Ryan Sims deal. Not sure if that what your were thinking about or not.

Chiefs Get:
John Welbourn, OT

OK, I finally got a response from the Packer fans:

Here is the Packs picks

Round # Overall # Packers' Pick/Notes
1 TBD Packers Pick
2 TBD Packers Pick acquired from New Orleans
(The Packers acquired a second-round pick from New Orleans in 2004 for cornerback Mike McKenzie)
2 TBD Packers Pick
3 TBD Packers Pick
4 TBD Packers Pick
5 TBD Chiefs Pick
(Acquired from Packers in trade for defensive end R-Kal Truluck in 2004)
5 TBD Packers Pick
6 TBD Chiefs Pick
(Acquired from Packers in trade for defensive end R-Kal Truluck in 2004)
6 TBD Packers Pick
NOTE: The Chiefs will get either the Packers' 5th- and 6th-round selections or Oakland's 5th- or 6th-round selections. The Packers acquired Oakland's picks in the 2004 trade for Marques Anderson. The Chiefs will get the choices that will giver them the higher selection choice in either round.
7 TBD No Pick
(The Packers' seventh-round pick was traded to the Chiefs in 2003 for cornerback Derek Combs)
This means we would get the Raiders' picks in those rounds which would be in the top 10 in each round. That's big, because since some talented guys tend to drop, that 5th and 6th has the potential to be like a 4th and a 5th.

I think we get to keep the 7th for Cheek, because we cut him around week 3 or 4, and he didn't finish the season with us.

i don't know that this is correct ... it might be

i doubt we get a 3rd rounder for Tait ... maybe

if Welbourn played 50% it moves up to a 3rd round pick

Why do you doubt a 3rd rounder for Tait??? Compensation is based upon the contract give to the FA, and Tait got a massive 16 million 1st year roster bonus from Chicago.

I thought it was based on playing time, which would also make it a third rounder, I would think.

I think we get to keep the 7th for Cheek, because we cut him around week 3 or 4, and he didn't finish the season with us. We kept Cheek until almost the end of the season. It was week 13 or so that we cut him. I don't know if we get to keep the 7th rd pick or not for Cheek. I don't know what the terms of the trade were.

Also, I would think we should get a 3rd or more for Tait. He was a major FA loss for us.

Cheek was cut around week 3 or 4 after getting injured and then we resigned him once he got healthy. We then we cut him again around week 14 after getting tired of him screwing up.

There are no compensation picks higher than a 3rd.
