Another thread made me wonder, I don't think I have ever seen a thread on the planet like this, if it's a repost flame away...

I drive a 1992 prelude si, I bought it as a one-owner from a 65 year old woman teacher at 70K miles. It was and still is absolutely pristine. It is a fourth generation and I love the body style. Drives like brand new. Oh and for anyone thinking RICE it is bone stock.

So what you got?

1998 Lincoln Continental, V-8, auto, pwr everything. Fast...very fast. You can't tell much difference in the ride, going 60mph or 110mph, it's all good.
Also have a 1990 Dodge 3/4 ton van. It's basically my truck.

I went from a pickup to my prelude and would find it hard to go back. I like the go-cart feel of hondas. I had both cars for awhile and after driving the prelude the pickup felt like a sherman tank.

Well, my wife drives what used to be my 2001 Escalade and I ended up driving the POS 1999 Dodge Neon 4 door (school girl blue) because she has the two kids daily and I work 36 miles (one way) out of town.

Funny, when she was my girlfriend 4 years ago and I bought her that car I never expected I would be driving now...

Otherwise I would have bought her something more manly.

98' Chev Cavalier 4 door for my work car.
But here's the kicker...it's a "stealth wanna be Rice burner"
I did the head, cam, exhaust (NO I didn't include the fuggen mad bumble bee pipe :shake: just went larger on the pipe, and a stock muffler which I re-configured a bit for better flow, but not more sound. ), NoS Cheater kit etc. Everything's thats done to the car, can't be seen to show whats lurking under the hood.
Did the suspension but left it at EXACLTLY factory ride hight. And it handels like a dream. Even with the factory steel rims sporting 195/70/14's

I just love it when these "kids" come up beside me in their mad sounding shopping cart Honda's, Acura's, and the like only to get laughed at by me when THEY catch ME at the next light or chase me to where i'm going only to look in and see a 3spd automatic, with all kinds of plaster/painting gear in the back seat. ROFL .

The better half has a 2000 Malibu, loaded from the factory with options Most of the Malibu's i've read or heard about get a bad rap, we haven't had a hitch with ours in 2 years :thumb: .

Is you stupid? Preludes are man's Integras. God, I was hoping to get a Prelude, but it's rare to find a good deal on those. Plus my insurance would have been hella high.

If you won't rice a Prelude out, at least put some nice rims on. At least 17's. Body kits also make it look much better, although, they look good as is. Prelude = awesome car.

Just an observation from my personal life. Your results may vary. I don't think I'd drive a Prelude if I could spend the same money and get a real penis car (http://www.liquiddietlounge.com/albums/album01/penis_car1.jpg).

That is the one I have, the 4th gen was from 1992-1996. Named to Car and Drivers ten best list every year it was produced, also the first honda to get Vtec yo! S2000 maybe next on the list after college, but it is hard to beat out the Infiniti G35 coupe when you are in that price range.

As for being a chick car, it's no where near being a miata/VW cabriolet and those are the only cars I would classify as "chick cars".

Well, the daily driver is a 2001 Rio rollerskate. Cheap car, gets decent milage and handles bad weather real well. But, anything with 2 squirrels and a shot of Jack can outrun it easily.

The project car is another story.
It's a 1968 Fury III Custom Suburban. Genuine land yacht. 340 v-8, 727 Torqueflight transmission, and an attitude from hell.

Given that's it's survived to become one of the rarer machines on the road, I'd say it desserves that attitude. Still needs a paint job, but the motor is in fine shape and there's no major bodywork to do. I'm planning to finish the rebuild with the car turned into a small surprise for the Rice Boys. :thumb:

You traded cars?

Nope. I sold the Camry and bought my sister's Solara. It was too good of a deal to pass up. It only had 23,000 miles on it. She kept it in immaculate condition. It's pretty nice...alloy wheels, moonroof, premium sound system. The Camry was starting to use oil and had about 170,000 on it. It will probably go for another 50-100K, but the time was right for a new ride...forgot to tell you about that...that was back in August.

we had a chow die on us years ago, and we never quite got over it...

but we finally went and got a pound puppy and we have been ecstatic having the little guy around...

Used to drive a Mini Cooper S -- demand for these things is so high in Phoenix, back in November I sold it at a PREMIUM, even with over 5000 miles on it. Had enough money to buy both of these:

Cool, how do you like the Lightning so far?

Very fun to ride, but it's definitely not a highway cruiser. It's got great handling characteristics, but I still have to get used to the more upright riding posture, as it lends towards a feeling of less control than what I truly have.
