View Full Version : I may have unwittingly joined a cult.

My 1994 Acura Legend had been getting really dicey lately so I've been in the market for a new ride. Last friday I finally pulled the trigger on a 2004 Jeep Wrangler X. I guess I hadn't realized it before but these Jeep folks are kinda cultish. For starters it would appear that everyone driving a Jeep is required to acknowledge one another when we meet on the road. They also apparently don't like it when my form of acknowledgement is the middle finger.

So are you always so friendly to the people who wave to you?

I guess the stories about the Midwestern temperment I've heard so much about are in doubt....

Yup, it's very much a cult. My stepfather owns a Jeep and commonly salutes when any Jeep drives by. It's pretty sad.

It's because they have all gotten to know each other well sitting in the repair shop all the time. :D

Excellent. Thanks. I might want to have him check it out before it goes out of warranty. It always pays to know people who know people.

Yea, it's all a matter of training. The S.O.B. tried to file a workers comp claim for bad knees but I could prove where I provided knee pads and he chose not to use them. He was screwed after that.

Pretty much, ever since Lil Roy made a thread basically calling me an ass and agreeing with GoChiefs on certain things there have been rumors of courtship.
