I went to the doctor with the wife yesterday (that's not the sad part). The sad part is while I was in the waiting room, I found an old ESPN the Mag copy. The NFL preview edition with Dante on the Cover. Of course, I read through it. It's sad to go back and relive the hype and hope we all carried into this past season. They had us picked to win the superbowl.

Kind of made you relive '96 and '98 too, huh?

I remember reading that as I flew to Denver to see them play at Invesco.

It is sad, and I think we were done once we lost to Denver in Game one.

I felt really really worried after the Texans game...but I think the Saints game really killed us.

I thought we DID win OUR Super Bowl 45-17? :p

Nice win, but not my superbowl.

The article on Dante was pretty weird as well. I had no idea about some of the problems of his past.

Sadly, I don't believe that until we win a superbowl am I ever going to expect this team to go all the way again. Which is just a sad state for a fan to have reached.

I'm assuming Letterman has not booked another Dante appearance either...
