The fact that I'm an old fogey might have something to do with it, but it isn't half bad this year.

Not a bad little show. Definitely better than the last few.

I never liked the Beatles.
I never liked Paul McCartney.

And these freakin' halftime shows can just get blown straight to hell.

One of the best concerts I ever saw was McCartney in 1989. So there.

I'm 31 and I liked the halftime show. Best I've seen for quite a few years.

The show wasn't bad but McCartney is losing his voice. He doesn't sound anything like the "original".

What's up with that conspiracy theory? I know a lot of people think the Sgt. Pepper's album was supposedly a funeral...Right?

BTW, I love the Beatles and the halftime show was really cool.

Actually he is a few years older. I remember discussing that "new" group in a current history class as a freshman in college. I was 18 and Paul had to be a few years older than that.

My Mom actually saw the Beatles in KC when she was 11 years old in 1963.

Everyone on that album cover including the "old style" Beatles was dead. It represented the burial of the old sound to make way for the new Beatles and their new sound, haircuts, and attitudes. It symbolises the death of adolesence to the birth of adulthood and social awareness if you were a young fan back then. It triggered a social revolution.

Abbey Road represented the burial of Paul because he had no shoes on and dead people are planted that way.

That was an awesome performance..and the sound was excellent. Props to their crew. Great job whether you like the music selection or not.

Its great the NFL was more or less forced to get a non-controversial preformer the likes of Paul McCartney. It was sad when they choose MTV to provide their half time show like last year. I mean there are families out there for petes sake.
A very good pick. Great half time show. I loved the huge screens around the stage.

I agree. It was very well mixed and taistfully presented. I wouldn't be surprised if McCartney made technical contributions. He mixed Peter Framptom's live album for him. The man deffinately knows about sound.
