I keep hearing "Since you've been gone" over and over , might need professional helkp wadda ya think? :hmmm:

KELLY CLARKSON LYRICS

"Since You've Been Gone"

Here's the thing we started off friends
It was cool but it was all pretend
Yeah yeah
Since you've been gone

You dedicated you took the time
Wasn't long till I called you mine
Yeah Yeah
Since you've been gone

And all you'd ever hear me say
Is how I pictured me with you
That's all you'd ever hear me say

But since you've been gone
I can breathe for the first time
Im so movin on
Yeah yeah
Thanks to you
Now I get
What I want
Since you've been gone

How can I put it? you put me on
I even fell for that stupid love song
Yeah yeah
Since you've been gone

How come I never hear you say
I just wanna be with you
I guess you never felt that way

But since you've been gone
I can breathe for the first time
Im so movin on
Yeah yeah
Thanks to you
Now I get
I get what I want
Since you've been gone

You had your chance you blew it
Out of sight, out of mind
Shut your mouth I just can't take it
Again and again and again and again

Since you've been gone
I can breathe for the first time
Im so movin on
Yeah yeah
Thanks to you (thanks to you)
Now I get
I get what I want
I can breathe for the first time
Im so movin on
Yeah yeah
Thanks to you (thanks to you)
Now I get (I get)
You should know (you should know)
That I get
I get what I want
Since you've been gone
Since you've been gone
Since you've been gone

I was playing the drum line to it tonight. Nice off beat snare and kick stuff. Other than that just a real solid groove

Actually, that put a different song in my head:

Since you been gone, since you been gone
I'm outta my head, can't take it
Could I be wrong, but since you been gone
You cast the spell, so break it
Oooohhh - Whhooooaaa - Ooooohhh
Since you been gone

Timing is the key :thumb: no drum groove sounds good if the timeing is off or all over the place.

The only Since You've Been Gone I know is by Aretha Franklin and another by Rainbow.

Of course, I don't listen to crappy pop stations either.

I generally agree with you, but I try to have an appreciation for most types of music. There are a few good pop songs and that is one of them.

Actually she won on American Idol. Most of her songs suck though.

Karaoke Glorified does not mean you have anything other than a structured voice.

OK. She still won of American Idol. I didn't say I was a fan. I did say her current hit isn't bad...especially considering the state of pop today.

I listen to all kinds of music. But I prefer "harder" sounding melodic type stuff.
As a drummer I look first and formost at the groove of the back beat. This song has an amazing flow to it. Basic yet eligent. He doesn't go over the top with cymbol work, and goes to a steady rock patern during the chours.

I agree with you. Some folks have a hard giving anything but their favorite particular style of music a chance... it might make them look less cool I guess...

He's an insufferably arrogant ass, even for a British rock star, but damn this album rocks:

I'm not sure if I can do this here.

(If this is a no-no, I request a mod delete this)

But, here is a website to a new band that I really enjoy. There are buttons in the upper left corner that will let you listen to 3 sample songs.

These guys are currently on tour in California. They play the Troubador tommorrow and have dates in Arizona and Las Vegas before returning home next week. They are currently working on a contract with Atlantic records and are making their first music video early next week before returning to KC.

I'd be really interested in your opinion of these kids. Thanks for your feedback (if any), and again, if I'm not suppossed to do this, my aplogies. Don't mean to break any rules.

Here's the website. Listen to the songs and they will get that other music out of your head.

www.weareveda.com

(I guess you'll have to type in the address to get there???)

Wondering if it would be OK to maybe start a thread with this.....

I'll check back tomorrow and see if I get any feedback.

Thanks in advance for your comments / advice about starting a thread for this.
