err... not the same as some of you pod-people out there

anyone know anything about plants?

got a plant that has good leaf color(rich green) but the stems are soft so the whole thing is droopy.

now this isn't that same "droopy stem" problem that pink is always complaining about with Phobia .... :)

is it not enough water?

too much water?

not enough light?

suggestions .... any such thing as plant viagra out there?

Maybe the buds are too heavy.

First, don't water it for at least three days. It's probably over watered. Check for little creatures under the leaves. Could be infested in the roots as well. Simple dish detergent watered down will kill the little things. Do you know what kind of plant it is? Can it handle direct light? Sometimes the best thing to do is to ignore it. Some plants need to watered regularly and simply left alone.

i prolly just gave it too much water ... i've no clue what i'm doing, not my plant.

i just don't want to kill it before they come back from vacation :(

here's a picture of the poor thing i'm apparently killing with too much attention.

No...but, I'm sorry as hell that I never went into ethnobotany for a field. I always thought it would have been a kewl field to study how and why people use plants and nature in their local environments.

To think of all the shamans I could have partied with...what a shame.

Another good quality of the Peace Lily is that it does not require a lot of water. Keep the soil slightly moist and mist occasionally in dryer conditions. Keeping it humid will encourage it to bloom. It does, however, require heat, and the air must stay at 65 degrees or above, making it a good choice for you if you have an over-sized bathroom and you’re looking to bring some color into it.

Just make sure, as with any houseplant, that you don’t overwater it. Feel the soil every few days to see if it’s moist, and water only when the soil begins to dry out.

chit .... too much water and the room prolly isn't warm enough

Tip: The beauty of these plants doesn’t end with their versatility. They are so easy to grow that even a novice with a dimly-lit “problem room” could keep one alive, and could even see it bloom.

ROFL Poor laz.

That plant looks drowned to me.

I'd say its over watered.
If not that, see if it has a fertilizer/mineral stick in the dirt, and for bugs.

The leaves aren't discolored much and wilting........My money is on over-watered.

Doesn't sound like you have enough Nitrogen.

We have a Peace Lily that sits in front of a window, watered it about once every two weeks or so!

You may want to try and remove the plant from the pot. If you have not replanted your Peace Lily it may come out in one lump. The roots should be holding the dirt. That will allow you to let the roots dry out a little.

Not sure if you are a plant person or not, but if you have plants I would suggest that you put your plants in a smaller pot placed in a slightly larger on. I use cheap plastics ones as the smaller pot and use decorative pots for the larger. Reason being most of my plants are to pretty dry before watering again and I forget to water in time so I let my plants sit in the water/float for about an hour, then drain. Since I love plants and don't have a green thumb this works perfect for me!!

Tell them to get skunk bud #1 or AK 47 next time and you won't have this problem. In all seriousness it's lack of light or shortage of nitrogen. Then again maybe you should PM Thomas he always knows what's going on.
