Irving Azoff's and David Geffen's daughters are on this list...

I swear to God, that information is worth it's weight in gold. Especially for a guy who wants a record a deal. I'm sure that anybody with this list isn't calling those girls anyway, so the numbers probably still work. Thanks for the contact info though.

Correction:
"Jeremy Geffen" (not a daughter) is probably not the son of famed record producer David Geffen. David Geffen is gay.

Still, that is Irving Azoff's daughter though... She is also Christina Aguilara's rep.

How exactly is this information illegal? It was copied off of another website. The damage is done at this point and I highly doubt anybody cares about a copy of a copy (probably of a copy of a copy of a copy..) Something tells me the secret service has better things to do rather than read Chifsplanet :)

This did get me curious as to the role of the Secret Service and it doesn't look like they would handle this sort of thing anyway. The Secret Service is traditionally involved in protecting the President, his family, dignitaries and the like. They also investigate counterfeiting, identity theft and some various 'fraud' related crimes. I would think this type of thing would fall to the FBI if anyone.

The secret service investigates computer crimes..as well as cell phone cloning and cell phone fraud...the information was hack from a remote server.

From cnn:

According to Zidar, Hilton used the Sidekick II, a multi-purposed personal electronic device that uses an online server to store at least some information, including phone numbers.
While Zidar said it is possible for the information on that device to be hacked from the company's server remotely, the company is still investigating the specifics of Hilton's case.
Zidar said that since Sunday night a number of sites had posted Hilton's personal contacts, but the sites kept changing as the Secret Service, which Zidar said investigates computer crimes, shuts them down.
"As soon as one comes up the secret service is all over it," he said.

Interesting. From what I read it sure doesn't sound like a role they would have. I don't really see where the 'fraud' comes into play unless there's more to this than we know. Maybe the investigation started out as an identity theft case and they've been handling it since. I work right next door to some of these guys, so I'll try to ask them today. Traditionally the FBI is the agency that handles hacking cases.

Thanks for the post! It would also be interesting to see a site take a stand and say they wouldn't take the information offline. I'm wondering how well this would hold up in court since the information has been publicly posted so many times. It would certainly dilute the amount of damages to next to nothing. My guess is it's still a lot of hot air & scare tactics. I sure wouldn't want to be the one to test my theory though :)
