remember when the Royals were good?Yes, I am old enough to remember George Brett. I was at Royals stadium the day after his pine tar game, he went 0-4 against the Cleveland Indians, obviously shook up about the whole thing.

He received a standing Ovation 4 times. It is too bad he couldn't have pulled a Ruthian moment out and hit a couple of homers and 2 doubles that night, they would have torn the place down. Absolutely and unreal experience.

I have never been at a game since where a player has been so honored as Brett was that night.
