Sometimes when I walk the front mid part of my shin get this very acute deep shooting pain through it I mean when it happens I can hardly work. my job requires me to stand for eight houres a day and I walk around campus before that so i think that may be a contributing factor. Anyone know what might cause this?

Yes it does happen to others. Get better and better fitting shoes?

It probably happens to everyone over the age of 9.

Sack up and stop being such a pussy.

First, check and make sure that there's not a small dog biting your shin. That's what happens to Bobia.

And yeah, it happens to everyone occasionally. If symptoms persist or if the pains last more than four hours, see your doctor.

It doesn't happen to me but, then, I'm tough.

Sounds like shin-splints to me.. and there really isn't a way to fix it unless you just stay off your feet for a while.

I used to get them occasionally when playing football.. although they dont' hurt THAT bad you pansy! J/k

Bullshit.

It's not got a damned thing to do with toughness. It's becuase you suffer from the same condition as Cotton Hill.
