What are suggestions for dinner joint down on the plaza suitable for a bachelor party? My buddy here in PHX is marrying ex-Chiefs cheerleader in April and I get to coordinate the dinner since I used to live in KC. Problem is, I haven't eaten on the plaza in YEARS.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,
Marty

In the Plaza I've eaten at PFChangs, Cheesecake Factory, Unos, Bretts, and Houstons.

Of those choices, I'd take my bachelor party to PFChangs or Unos. I dunno - you probably have half of what we have in the Plaza in Phoenix.

UNO's prolly works. Why not get a cab and eat some BBQ?

Take 'em to that dipshit DJ's bar/restaurant in Westport. Yeah - Johnny Dares is on Westport/Pennsylvania. They have hot waitresses, plenty of scenery, and decent BBQ.

Dares -- I have heard good things about that place. PHX has most of the same places as downtown KC except the really good steak joints.

I fly in Thursday and the guys are having lunch at Gates. Friday's lunch is at Bryants, then the rehearsal. Saturday is the magic day and then I'll hit Bryants for more BBQ before getting on the jet back to PHX on Sunday.

Is there a Jack Stack down by the plaza?

Tomfooleries is pretty good, or at least they were when I used to live down there. They used to have 1/2 price appetizers and $1 draws after 10:00. At the time I was broke as hell, but we always managed to eat like kings down there.

Longbranch used to be in Seville Square on the lower level and they used to have $.25 burgers a looooooonnng time ago on a certain night, although I'm not sure that they're even around anymore.

Kona Grill. Go do some Sake Bombs.

Kona is an option...the headquarters hotel is the Embassy Suites down on the Plaza so ideally, something sorta of close. I'd really hate to make the hotel shuttle drive us around and pick us up at the wee hours of the morning. :holdman:

Here's the menu (http://www.kcrestaurantguide.com/tomfooleries.htm) at Tomfooleries. It's a pretty decent place. You can check menus at other Plaza restaurants at this site (http://www.kcrestaurantguide.com/location.htm), just scroll down to the Plaza section.

The Buca do Beppo on the Plaza is really good for large and louder parties.
