Denny Thum said in an interview this morning that Rolle and his wife are both in town today.

Just makes me glad we might have some other help coming in to stop "The playmaker" and "Barry Sanders-Griffin" this year.

Or Mortenson just said the wrong team.
Regardless, the Chiefs assistant GM would know who's in town today.

They may have inquired about him, but Rolle and his wife are in Kansas City today.
I can just hear it now - the Broncos caused us to "over pay" for Rolle IF we do manage to sign him.... ROFL

The situation your defense is in, you're going to have to overpay whoever you sign in order to convince them to come in period... That has nothing to do with the Broncos...

Mort was just on ESPN News ,live report from Atlanta, said nothing of the Donks and Rolle.
He did mention Trotter and KC is basically a done deal, working on the finer details. KC want s him and Trotter wanted to play for Gun.
Again, nothing official, just reports from Mort and ESPN News.

Carl Peterson is your General Manager so you're going to have to overpay whoever you sign in order to convince them to come in period... That has nothing to do with the Broncos...

And what players are taking less money to come in and join the Broncos?

It's not unheard of for a player to visit two cities in the same day, who knows.
But, I guess based on the Donks' championship seasons*, they could find a way to fit Rolle under their cap.

I think being a top 10 defense, it's easier to convince a guy that he's the missing piece than it would be in KC.

I have trouble seeing them spending that much money on two CB's, just way too much bang at one position.

Hmm. Interesting take. My theory is that when you get money under the table in violation of the salary cap, it just looks like you're accepting less money.

I would think a CB could be convinced that padding your int. stats is easier playing against Plummer 2 times a year than playing with him a full season. :p :)

Is he going to coach Plummer on how to not throw interceptions while he is there?

Good lord... if they drop more big cash on a corner, I'll scream. In my best Carville voice "It's the pass rush, stupid".
I wanna see some QB killas signed... pronto. Hell, I wouldn't mind them bringing back Keith Traylor as a guy to run in and out of that mix.

The problem is there aren't any good pass rushers available. That is why I am surprised you guys are letting Hayward go.

Yeah, for the 2nd year in a row they're not resigning the top sack guy from the year before. Last year they needed a better pass rush, Berry left and Hayward stepped up. Now, Hayward is leaving and they trade for Warren.
I don't get it. I understand they there are just certain positions with teams that are deemed the positions where big money won't be spent, but damn.

Do you think Shanny is gun shy now about signing big name D-Line players?
