Naked man threatens neighbors with sword

NORTH LIBERTY, Iowa (AP) -- A man threatened his neighbors with a sword after they complained about him being naked in his front yard, police said. Curtis D. Rarick, 44, was charged with assault while displaying a dangerous weapon.

Rarick had been naked in his yard and became angry when neighbors asked him to put clothes on Sunday afternoon, police said.

He went inside and came back out with a 2 1/2-feet long sword and began threatening the neighbors, court records show.

He was released from jail Monday after posting $2,000 bond

If convicted, Rarick could face up to two years in jail and a $5,000 fine.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 7.

For the record, it wasn't a Sword..........I'd just been watching a Dukes of Hazzard Promo, and Daisy was fixing her tire.

True story:
I was threatened with a decorative samari sword by a private in Okinawa. The little bastard didn't want to clean his filthy, filthy room (even though I was incredibly lenient) and I secured his liberty for the weekend. Heh.

Bastard ended up bouncing out of the corps shortly thereafter.
