Rolle (6-0 5/8, 197) ran twice for times of 4.49 and 4.52. He had a 37-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot-3 long jump, a 4.01 in the short shuttle, an 11.43 in the long shuttle, and a 6.70 in the three-cone drill.

All of this "combine" business is great, but a guy still has to be a good football player, regardless of his 40 time.

looks like Rolle has pretty good quickness

his shuttle and cone drill times look pretty good.

Still not blow you away numbers. About a #15 pick #. Just about right.

ya... actually his numbers might drop him a bit


but his quickness numbers actually make me feel a little better about him.... speed in and out of cuts is huge for a cover man.

be interested to see carlos rogers numbers ... he's my first choice for us at the moment.(maybe even if Rolle is there)

If the chiefs sign Rolle, I would rather draft Shawne Merriman in the first. but if the chiefs go after a cb, I like Jones

Carlos rogers reportedly ran under 4.4, though someone suggested that was the hand-timed figure. I normally don't buy into the combine #s too much. I like Rogers' size, ability to cover AND lay the wood in run support. He's the guy I want in the 1st, no matter what we do in FA. We need a young stud CB!!

you don't know that ... there are several people putting andrew "pac man" jones ahead of Rolle now.


most people have all the cornerbacks dropping several spots in this draft regardless of which corner goes 1st.


i imagine we have a fairly good chance to have the 2nd pick of cornerbacks. If jones goes first, then Rolle could very well be there.


all speculation though

Are any teams looking for safties? Rolle played some saftey for Miami as well. That is why I would consider him the #1, he can go to both positions.
