These incidents are not independent from each other. The fact that we have let all these other FAs slip through our fingers where they sign with other teams for pretty fair contracts does not bode well for our chances of signing other big name FAs.

The reason it seems fair is that his value went way down after he failed our physical. This sounds like the same thing that ended Sterling Sharpe's career, only he was smart enough to say goodbye.
