MORE TRUTH & RUMORS: MLB | NBA | NHL/Soccer

Carl Peterson , President and General Manager of the Kansas City Chiefs , is on the proverbial hot seat, according to identified sources around the league. His recent lack of free agent activity will be held accountable by owner Lamar Hunt , who is reportedly tired of unexplainable excuses by Peterson. Our sources tell us that Peterson will not leave the Chiefs until New England Patriots GM Scott Pioli is either re-signed by the Patriots or is signed by another team other than the Chiefs. By doing this, Peterson will assure himself of being able to give the fans of Kansas City, "one last kick in the nuts."

LOL, what is Carl going to do, lock himself in his office at Arrowhead and force the Chiefs to physically remove him??

If there were any truth to this rumor that Hunt was really unhappy with Peterson, all he has to do is fire his ass and Carl is gone.

Does anyone here really believe that CP does anything without Hunt's approval. Sure its his job to let the boss know if his offer will get the job done, but its the boss handing the money and and determining how much of that money is handed out. If CP was going to be fired, this is the worst time of year to do it. Midseason or towards the end of the season is much better. We are involved in free agency, scouting for the draft and getting the cap under a manageable sum. There is no way Carl could be fired at this time of year.
