Ravens | Boulware on Trade Block? - from www.KFFL.com
Wed, 9 Mar 2005 13:11:33 -0800

Jamison Hensley, of the Baltimore Sun, reports a league source has said the Baltimore Ravens are actively shopping LB Peter Boulware (toe) around the league, but general manager Ozzie Newsome denied the club is attempting to trade the veteran linebacker. Boulware is currently still rehabbing from toe surgery.

If the report is true, I wouldn't mind the Chiefs trying to take a stab at him.

Thoughts?

Sorry if a repost.

after spending several seasons with Ray Lewis...taking a stab at him may not be the best approach

Well if you are going to take a stab at him just don't let Lewis see you do it. Guys the biggest rat since the dude from goodfellas!

He's damned good. A good pass rusher and heavy hitter.

Oh, man that'd be sweet...

No talk of what it would cost us in draft picks and what his salary would do to our cap. Stop dreaming guys, it only hurts more.

Cotton Hill has better knees than Boulware, and he had his "shins blowed off by the japanese in WW2."

The Ravens wouldn't ask or get more than a 4th for him. He's about 30 and coming off a knee injury. Not sure of his contract, but I'd definitely consider trading for him.

Really?

That's odd. I don't see him having any kind of knee injury until his last one. So that would make one knee injury, to one knee. Which would be two less than Holmes...or Roaf...
