The National Football League announced today that the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins will play in the 2005 AFC-NFC Hall of Fame Game. The two teams will kick off their preseason schedule at Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio on Monday August 8.

About 5+ months away PBJ It's not the Chiefs, but by then I will be dying for any football.

Do they still play that game in Japan? Not the HOF game..I forget what its called.

The America Bowl? I dunno.

I don't think so. I think they've been playing that in Mexico City the past few years.

Back in the 80s the America Bowl was in Germany. They were trying to brew interest in NFL Europe. Mostly though it was servicemen that went to the game. The Chiefs played there one year when I was in Belgium I think against the Rams. It was when DeBerg was QB. Unfortunately I couldn't get the day off to go. Chiefs lost anyway in an horrible offensive performance.

I wonder how they determine which teams are in HOF game? The Dolphins were the only team to beat the '85 Bears... :hmmm:

For the HOF game, they alternate teams every 15-18 years so that all NFL teams get to play in the game. The first HOF game had the Chiefs and Giants. Chiefs played in 1970,1987 and 2003. Probobly won't play again untill 2020.
