We sign Knight to come in a play safety.

Trade our 2nd rounder to Miami for Surtain, with a reworked long-term contract.

Trade down our first round pick for a later 1st round and 2nd/3rd round.

We get Bell/Knight/Surtain, and still have two first day draft picks for best defensive player available and a WR/OT.

Not saying this is the route I want to go, but it could be a viable option for us. What do the rest of you think?

I never want to trade down from the first round. The only time I'd ever do it is if, god forbid, the Chiefs had one of the top two or three picks in the first and traded down to stay within the top ten.

No more Safeties. Arrowhead is overrun with Safeties, for goodness sake.

Trading with Miami might eventually come to pass, but we should not even consider it right now.

We should stick at #15 and draft CB Rodgers.

Other than that, not a bad plan.

don't want knight... we better freaking be able to find a decent free safety outa the million guys we have on the roster already.

don't trade down in the first... grab the best available where were at now.

trading a 2nd rounder for surtain would work

i still want Hartwell!!

My wife's closet is packed full with shoes right now, but when we plan a nice night out to eat what you think she does? She buys new ones that will fit the occasion.

We might have lots of safeties, but I see it as a very underrated position of need right now. Every corner gets beat and when a team runs a lot of blitz, the chances increase. The safeties have to be a realiable source of 'safety'.

I'm not happy with our 'quantity' of safeties. Coach L would rather have 'quality'. Woods and Wesley I thought were capable of doing it, but I'm not so sure now.

Thank goodness your wife is not in charge of player acquisitions.

:)

It's the only thing I could think of in making a point about 'quantity' versus 'quality'. I know, I know, a man should never correlate women's shoes and football.

Harts, Pile, Battle, Bartee. One of them can take Woods’ job. Wesley stays.

We still have real needs at LB & CB. Safety is not a comparable concern.

I would do it because it would allow the Chiefs to updrade the CB and Safety position with proven vets.

In this draft after the top 10 or so the next 50 prospects are interchangeable.

I have no problem with his plan.
