OK, "The Longest Yard" is coming out in another couple of months, and apparently Burt is co-starring. What other Burt Reynolds' movie has this kind of potential?

Can't you just see Bobby Boucher as Gator McClusky?

Phobia said it was because of the centerfold in "PlayGirl". I wouldn't know anything about that.

I don't know about you but I'm looking forward to this movie. I liked the original and the British take-off "Mean Machine" too.

He started out looking like [literally] Brando reincarnated [the sexy "STELLLLLLAAAA" Brando, not the fat jungle Brando.
Deliverance gave him bona fides as both a dramatic actor and sex symbol.
The first Smokey was H-U-G-E. It's still about the most fun you can have in a theater.
The Cannonball Runs were decent followups, in terms of keeping a profile.
Since then, it's skate time, marry a hottie, get hooked on goofy pills, high profile divorce, attempts at comebacks, all the stuff tabloids love.

Oh yeah, and Evening Shade had a heck of a run there for a while.

"Smokey And The Bandit" made me truly appreciate short cute women with large breasts.

I think that Deliverance could be turned into a good comedy, with all those worthless mutated hilbilly's
