Just reading the latest draft spin....
found this rather amusing.
Apparently GROB's Super Rings were a direct result of his coaching, and not the quality of LB on the field...as evident by the stellar Defense play by the Cheifs LB corps/overall defense.

8. Derrick Johnson, LB, Texas: I have had long conversations with the man who coached Johnson in college, Greg Robinson, and he knows what it takes to be a star in the NFL. He has two Super Bowl rings of his own, and he's also coached Marvin Jones, Mo Lewis, John Mobley, Ian Gold, Al Wilson and Bill Romanowski, along with many other linebackers. He says Johnson is rare and can line up in any defense and be great. He also made it clear that Johnson can stay on the field for every down-and-distance situation. Don't be surprised if he goes higher than No.

I see they conveniently left out the part of the story which says, "On the other hand, he also knows what it takes to run the absolute worst defense in the history of the NFL."

Who is this No guy and does he play OLB, if so will he be available to the Chiefs?

KC Chiefs with GRob as D-Coordinator - 13-3

KC Chiefs with Gunther Cunningham as DC - 7-9

What more needs to be said ?????

Both ran with the same roster (ecxept Gun got Jared Allen and Dalton to work with).

GRob got the TO's and the wins ....

Um... the Chiefs WERE 13-3 with Gunther at the healm and his defense was a top 5 Defense that year. G-Robs defense was ranked 31st the year he had the team D and I can assure you that none of those wins had ANYTHING to do with the D.

Last years defensive bad play was definetly not Gunthers fault. Years of bad decisions of CP and the rest of the front offices fault. Just remeber Guthers defenses when he was here prior to his head coaching stint.

Grob knew the best way to cover WR's was a 15 yard cushion. He also knew how to maximize John Brownings cover skills.
