Rain Man, just out of curiosity, do you save all this data in a big master spreadsheet or database?

Indeed.

I'll not take this badmouthing of Indian food. Spaghetti with meat sauce and endless kinds of casseroles and stews appear as if "someone threw up on your plate." But it all tastes great.

Vegetable beef looks like throw up.

Most people are surprised how well they like Indian food when they get the chutzpah to try it. I've converted several meat and potato'ers. We have 1 Indian place here, and it has a lunch buffet, with a small selection (which I like, makes things fresh), but has enough so people can try a little bit of everything.

Do they let you wear your ball cap while dining?

I love lunch buffets. I usually get the thali when i go for dinner because I love all the crap that comes with it. Dip my bread in the Raita.

I'm sooo glad my parents introduced me to ethnic and foreign foods when I was a kid. I was eating and enjoying Indian food before I was 10.

I'm not a raita fan. The taste if overwhelming, and "sour".

My standard plate has a couple pakoras on it, a big heaping of basmati rice covered in chicken tikki masala, vegetable korma, lamb rogan josh, and a couple pieces of nan.

Gulab Jamun, kheer, or my favorite..Mango Ice cream, for dessert.

Good stuff. I love that Raita though. Nice and cool to contrast the spiciness of the entree. It's almost like cleansing your palate, indian style. I forget what it's called but that bean stuff is great, too. Dal, I think. I also enjoy the "sambar" or soup.

And of course you only drink water with Indian food. Anything else might taint the food.

These results are somewhat surprising to me. When I hear 'Indian' I default toward Asian Indian. I guess I'm in the minority.

Yeah, I've been back in AZ since late Sunday night. I didn't take any pictures while I was there. I was too focused on drinking and making an ass out of myself.

I'm already looking forward to next year.
