Since you never know what your are going to run into on the Planet......I'm looking for some toggle clamps like this (http://www.carrlane.com/Catalog/index.cfm/27825071F0B221118070C1C513E111D081B0006280B1713050245221E0107070F1A3C3B285351415A) but I don't need anything as heavy duty as those in the link. I just need something (preferably stainless that will provide enough pressure to seat a gasket. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Have you tried the local hardware store? Lowes should have something like that only lighter-weight.

you know, you wouldn't need one of those if you'd just buy a bigger belt size...

I use these over-center latches all the time in different designs. I use Southco or Austin Hardware. They are very good about sending free samples...
