any fox hunters on here?

Never hunted fox. But used to hunt coyotes when I was a kid.

Unfortunately, we used dogs, and there's some issues with using a dog for your problem.

1) If you tie up the dog, the fox will figure out how to get around him and still get your chickens.

2) If you let the dog run loose, the dog might actually also eat your chickens.

ive killed 4 in 18 months but im looking to up the kill and wipe them out.
I have another pup and shes hot but hasnt lost her milk teeth yet and doesnt have her rabies yet.

Don't know if this will help or not MOHillbilly, but I have a Johnny Stewart game call CD that has a fox and coyote fighting. They say it is supposed to work on foxes but I've never called any in with it - though I haven't used it much and I don't call in places where there are many foxes. It might give them a different sound to come to other than the worn out cottontail rabbit bit. You should be able to get it from the Bass Pro shop there in Springfield.

BTW, my "Game Call" consists of a walkman CD player, a small PA speaker, and a small signal amplifier you can pick up from Radio Shack for about $10.

My bud's pop had the same prob. He got a Great Pyrenees dog, trained him, and no more problems. Now that I think of it, his was a prob w/ sheep and coyotes, not foxes. Sorry, prolly not much help.

Maybe a nice dish of antifreeze?

i hunted last night till dusk and this morning from dawn till about 7am i put a rooster in a fly pen but my pup whines like chewbacca so im not having much luck but i hear them calling to each other at night guess im going to have to get a caller and a spotlight.
