the further this mock draft goes the more I realize how poor this draft is. I mean it may prove to be strong in a couple of years, but right now I am having trouble voting because nobody seems to be worthy of such a high draft pick.

I am going to be out of town most of the day, so I hope I can bump this and others will keep it on page 1. Please feel free to post whore on this thread until I come back.

I picked Erasmus James, Lions need a true DE. But don't be suprised if Barron is taken. Also if Johnson falls this far, we better move up to this spot to take him.

1999 - Chris Claiborne, Aaron Gibson LB/T

Not such an illustrious history in first round picks.

Rogers has to be cursed in some way. If he could ever stay healthy their offense is stacked at the skill positions and Mooch is a great coach. If Harrington or Garcia get it done at QB they will be a fun team to watch.

Having great receivers doesn't mean much if the QB can't get rid of the ball. The Lions go OL and take Alex Barron FSU (T).

Erasmus James is going to drop to the end of the first round. Too many injuries to take him so high.

Roy Williams is going to be a stud WR for them. Wish we had him as a Chief.

Agreed. Rogers, Williams, and Jones make a nice young core to build an offense around.

...which might make Heath Miller all the more appealing to the Lions. Certainly not that high, but they could be prime candidates to trade down.

I hadn't thought of that he would be a great fit in Mooch's offense.
